My pick- Eva Longoria, Desperate Housewives  (I think she is just great)
 
I havent seen very many of the movies so I have no picks in that area.

I've not seen one movie!  Maybe we can view some of  
them before the Academy Awards Show is aired.

Being the movie freak I am (I think I have seen all the nominated movies, except A History of Violence), here are my picks for the main categories :
 
Best Drama : Brokeback Mountain
Best Comedy : Walk the Line
Best Actor (Drama) : Philip Seymour Hoffman, Capote  
Best Actress (Drama) : Felicity Huffman, Transamerica  
Best Actor (Comedy) : Joaquin Phoenix, Walk the Line
