The books are incredible IMO. Read both of them if you get the chance.

Listening to some of the controversy on Nightline right now... Catholic church being upset about it... how they are trying to keep people from seeing it... you'd think people would realize by now.. the more fuss you make about NOT seeing something the more people want to go see it...

It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday and has gotten TERRIBLE reviews.  Perhaps peoples' expectations were too high.  We'll see.

It's been rated R-18 here! For adults only! I don't mind it actually. What I don't like is how SM, the widest mall chain here in the Philippines, don't show R-18 movies in their theaters (I just found out!). So, my friends and I will have to go to other malls and see if their theaters show this movie.  Angry

Ok, I saw this one. It wasn't that great, but it was a good movie. I think it helped that I haven't read the book for a year now. I like the flashbacks, and the myth stuff. If only history classes are as interesting lol.

It seems to be loyal to the book. There was an action that I think has been added but I didn't mind. The Langdon in the movie seems smarter than in the book; he could guess a puzzle quickly.

And I really don't know why all the fuzz about the movie. Even Langdon, the main character, was not sold to the "theory".

I saw it the other night as well and thought they did a pretty good job of sticking to the book.  The ending may have been a "bit" different, but I think it worked better at explaining a few things. I think it helped that I read the book first.

I heard one of the controversies was about Tom's hair.  I didn't see where that was such a big deal.  I think it fit the character fairly well.

When we got back to our car, some church group had put a flier under our windshield wiper asking for support in stopping the movie by writing to the production company.  Uhhh....Dudes.  You're a little late.  Besides, the producers are eating all of this free publicity up.  The best thing would be for the churches to ignore it and say what we've been saying all along...It's just a book/movie. Huh
