We saw this yesterday... it was quite cute... didn't realize it had the subliminal tribute to Route 66 in it.  And being typically Pixar/Disney had humour for both the kids and adults... :-D  Be sure to sit through the credits at the end when they go to the movies... very cute...

I am definitely looking forward to watch this movie. Smiley However, it's a pity that some people criticised it as absolute trash just because it's under Disney. Sad

I personally thought it was not as good as the toy story movies, but better than Monster's Inc. - to put it into perspective with other Pixar films.  I didn't think it was plotless at all, and I especially liked the message/moral they gave at the end about winning, and what a winner really is.

I thought it has lots of plot/point.  The issues of winning not being the most important thing, and about friendship and taking care of what is important to you (i.e. the town).  I liked it.. alot!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard John Mayer's version of "Route 66" on Napsterlinks recently. he really did do a great job singing and playing the song. I was quite impressed. So I listened to a couple more songs from the soundtrack, and now I just gotta see the movie soon. I'm curious, what did you guys think of John Mayer being in the soundtrack?

didn't realize it was John Mayer.. LOL...and considering my dd "loves" John Mayer, I'm surprised she didn't mention it...  I did like the soundtrack of the movie though.. and we were both singing along with the Route 66 song during the credits...

I would only watch it because I heard there are some past/present NASCAR drivers in there and I LOVE Nascar.. it's the best..Wink
