One of the scariest movie ever made that made me nightmares and wet sleep every after I watch it is the Exorcist and the Shining movie.
I have found a list of the sacariest movies ever made that show the best of all and their descriptions.

Do you think the Exorcist is the scariest movie than the movie “The Shining”?

I haven't seen either of those movies. Scary movies isn't my thing. Really, no.

Steven King's IT was enough to give me nightmares. I swear I'm still too scared to hang out the washing sometimes coz I half expect to see this clown standing there. I've never liked clowns since watching that. I saw it once when I was 10. I'm now 23 and I still haven't gotten over it.

As for this list, I had a quick look.

Gremlins? was Gremlins scary? They were a little bit freaky but they never gave me nightmares.

The Sixth Sense? That was not scary.

Jaws. well, it was scary at first. But then you kinda grow up and it's just now scary any more. To begin with it was scary.

the rest I haven't seen.

The Hitcher (1986). Starring: C. Thomas Howell, Rutger Hauer was great.

That was the original.  From the looks of the trailers, they've switched it up a bit for 2007 and I'm sure it's a little gorier than the original.  I'll wait 'til it comes out on DVD and compare the two.

I watched the Hitcher a few weeks ago. It was an okay movie but nothing scary. The death of the girl at the end would suck and hurt bad though.

I love scary movies.  I never use too tho.  Then my b/f came along and got me into them.  My fav scary movies would have to be Saw 1, 2 and 3.  I love the Gore.

Check out Dead Alive, then.  It's a campy and gory zombie flick.
And also The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. (The old one not the remake.1970's)

Tell me if you liked 'em.
