I saw this earlier this week.

I thought it was great. I missed a bit of it since it was so violent I couldn't even look at the screen. I quite often sat there with my hand over my face so I couldn't see. and then I'd miss something and ask "what did I just miss?"

Even though it was violent I thought it was a beautiful film. I know it was called racist because the Mayan's were portrayed as brutal but I don't think that's the case. I think, even today most people would still fight off an attacker with souch force. If someone was trying to kill me I'd beat them over the head with as much force as I could muster just to save my own life. Much of it they were just trying to survive.

Also, even though it was violent, it wasn't bloodthirsty. By that, I mean, you don't see a great deal of blood like you see in all these slasher flicks. it's not over the top blood bath.

I think they used Rudy Youngblood's (he's such a hottie)eyes really well. He didn't have to speak because his eyes said alot. There wasn't a great deal of dialogue so I think the fact that it was in Mayan didn't really matter. I did find myself confused as to whether they were Mayan or Aztec.

Anyway, I give it two thumbs up.

It was an interesting movie! Indeed! lot's of violence and it was really amazing, it shows the mayan's civilization and how they do sacrifices.

It was maya's not sure but I can recall they used aztec doom there. Anyway for me this one of the Mel Gibson's best movie aside from Patriot and braveheart.
