Has anyone heard anything about this one? I love Dustin Hoffman & Natalie Portman but it looks a little shaky to me.  Cry

I'm sure it'll be out on DVD a few weeks after it hits the theaters.  Maybe sooner.

It's based on the a kid's book - and being released by Walden Media (Winn Dixie, Narnia, Charlotte, Holes, Hoot, Fried Worms - that company - who likes to turn kid's books to movies).  I can't remember the name of the book at the moment - but it's not the same as the movie title.  If I remember correctly (these people email me everytime they release a movie because of the teacher/book aspect), it's a chapter from a series... ??  I'll see if I can find it somewhere.
 
The same production company is also releasing the movie based on Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising," "Prince Caspian" (the second Narnia) and a movie about the Loch Ness monster called "Water Horse" (or something like that).  They have a TON of kid movies coming out.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is a 2007 novelization of the film of the same name. The novelization was written by American fantasy author Suzanne Weyn. The novel, or "Magical Movie Novel", as it is named on its cover, was released on October 1, 2007.
