I just got home.. it was "typical Indy"... awesome!!! and Shia is excellent! A bit of a different premise than the others (and a bit hokey IMHO) but the comedy/action/snakes were all reminiscent of the first three... Definitely worth the $2.00 I spent to see it.. Cheesy

That's what I've heard. They should have made the artifact something historical and/or spiritual. That's why Raiders and Last Crusade were the best. (Temple of Doom...not so much.)

well... I guess in some ways it was historical... and I know some folks who live in certain "areas" near "hangars" who think of it as historical... who am I to say what did and didn't happen 61 years ago... not like I was around... Embarassed

This one is WAAAAY better than Temple of Doom (which I refuse to even watch after the first viewing). And they definitely left it open for more... and for Shia to carry on the series far into the future...

I finally saw the new Indy movie! And I liked it! I wasn't so sure about the plot line but it worked. I mean, c'mon, really. Did you believe everything that happened in Rai?ders? How about the 2000 year old knight in the Last Crusade? Neither did I but it worked. I was sad to see Indy's life end but wonder if the kid really would be able to fill Indy's hat. If so, what would they call it? The adventures of Mutt Jones? Doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?

I'd rank it right up there with The Last Crusade. Raiders will always be on the top of the list though, since it's the original.
