I went to see this movie today, having just finished reading the book.  I was disappointed in the way Mr. Lopez was portrayed.  In the book (and in real life) he's married and has a young daughter, and he mentions frequently worrying about not spending enough time with his family because of his work with Mr. Ayers.  In an interview I heard on NPR, he even mentions that his young daughter now has met Nathaniel and he's come to their home... and she considers him her friend.. and how he worried about introducing Nathaniel into his family - and how they now consider him family...  
 
I did enjoy the movie.. but I think it would have been better if they'd told the "real" story, not the "Hollywood" version.. Sad
 
Regardless, I'm glad it got written and told - because from the interview on NPR - Mr. Ayers will never have to worry about living on the street again after all the royalties he will be receiving from this... what I loved (in the interview) is that he still lives at the LAMP - but now he has TWO apartments - one for living, and one for his instruments.. Cheesy
