CBS Returns to 'Big Brother' House

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Twelve more people will lock themselves inside a house for the viewing pleasure of America this summer on a fourth edition of CBS' "Big Brother."

The network has formally ordered the fourth edition of the reality series, according to news reports. The game places a dozen people in a house on a CBS lot in the San Fernando Valley, where they're cut off from the outside world and given often-goofy tasks to do. They vote one another out, and the last person left wins $500,000.

Los Angeles bartender Lisa Donahue won the prize in "Big Brother 3."

The format of the game is expected to stay more or less the same, and "Early Show" co-anchor Julie Chen is expected to return as host.

The show has been a reliable ratings magnet over the past three summers. "Big Brother 3" regularly drew more than 10 million viewers, usually good to win its time period.
