LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - To paraphrase the opening of "The Real World," Roseanne Barr stopped being polite long ago, and a show scheduled for ABC this summer will show what happens when she gets real.

The network has made Wednesday, Aug. 6 the premiere date for "The Real Roseanne Show," an unscripted series in which cameras follow the comic/actress through her life, including the pitching and development of a cooking and lifestyle show. That show, called "Domestic Goddess," will air on ABC Family in the fall.

As with other celeb-reality shows, "The Real Roseanne" will feature a number of people who are part of Barr's life. They include her son Jake and son-in-law Jeff, who are also her producers; personal assistant Becky, who's also the wife of Barr's first husband, Bill; and Drew, "the one writer whom she's never fired."

R.J. Cutler, an Emmy winner for "American High" and producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary "The War Room," is executive producing the series with Barr. His cameras will follow Barr as she meets with network executives about "Domestic Goddess," spends time with her kids and visits the daughter she gave up for adoption.

ABC has ordered 13 episodes of "The Real Roseanne Show," which will air over seven weeks. Back-to-back episodes will air at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET Wednesdays for the first six weeks, with the finale scheduled for the week before the official start of the fall TV season.
