Darva Conger Meets 'Joe Millionaire' Entertainment Tonight June 24, 2003 It's a clash of the Reality TV titans as "Joe Millionaire"'s EVAN MARRIOTT goes one-on-one with "Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire"'s DARVA CONGER on the Game Show Network's "National Lampoon's Funny Money" this summer! The two former romance reality series contestants once again vied for the bucks -- but this time it was all for charity -- and ET was on hand to catch the action. On tonight's ET, we'll show you behind-the-scenes footage of the competition and interviews with the two opponents. "I am not actively involved in Doctors Without Borders, but being in the nursing profession I've followed them for years, and I strongly support what they are doing," Conger tells ET about her charity choice. "I hope one day to have the time and the freedom to go work with them, because there are very few people I admire as much as them." For his part, Marriott gave his all for the DENNIS JAMES United Cerebral Palsy Center in Cathedral City, CA. "It is cool because the parents can take the kids to be cared for while they go and do things they need to do such as shop for groceries," Marriott explains, "It is a 24-hour job to take care of these kids." "National Lampoon's Funny Money" is a hybrid comedy game show that is hosted by comedian JIMMY PARDO and includes a revolving cast of some of the best standup comedians while regular contestants compete for money and a National Lampoon Vacation. So how did Conger and Marriott do? "I am not very quick on the fly as a lot of people out there probably know," Marriott admits. "It takes a couple of minutes for Evan to kick into gear here. It's not the coffee. It's just bad brainpower. What was really funny was I thought the 'Moving on Up' theme was for 'Good Times,' and it was for 'The Jeffersons.' I should have known that." But the former model for a Playboy pictorial felt a little more confident. "It was a little stressful at first," she says. "I like to use humor in my work as a nurse in the emergency room. It is kind of a crazy place, so I felt very comfortable." "National Lampoon's Funny Money" airs week nights at 10 p.m., and special episodes from Las Vegas air Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
