Ralphie seemed to kill on Tuesday night. No one seemed to get the reaction he did. I think he has it wrapped up. But that's the weird thing about comedy, that crowd may have liked it, but the rest of America may have thought it sucked!

Personally I got a little sick of Ralphies performance after the 10th "I want cheap gas"...but hey - if I can get myself on TV by repeating the same thing over and over then hey - I'd go for it!

An exec from NBC has confirmed that the last comic standing was fixed. The show had a two fold plan the the first was that Dat Phan was viewed as the "Cinderella" of the group and his win would be good for ratings based on a come from behind perspective.

Secondly a minority win would really help help the networks relations among the asian demographic.

Also noted Dat really was never at a high performance level as the other comedians in the house. his material was not original and recycled throughout the show. He never had an original set. Dat won by imitating his mother over and over and the material was so bad it was hard to find material to air for the ratings.

The most complicated rig was actually the standoff between Dave Mordall and Dat Phan. The audience was completely surprised as to who Jay Mohr had announced as the winner. If you watch the episode again you can see that the expressions on all of the faces in the audience were surprised and the comedians were shocked.

Jay Leno agreed to have the winner of the show appear on the Tonight Show only after he saw Ralphie May perform and was certain that he had the show locked up. Now that Dat Phan has won Jay Leno is no longer as enthusiastic to have the "winner" appear for what is usually considered to be a groundbreaking moment for up and coming comedians.

Dat did win huh? I am so glad I stopped watching this show. It seemed like it would be such a great show at first and then I just didn't end up liking how it was being run. Now that I know Dat won..I am really glad I stopped....I didn't find him funny at all and I do think Ralphie or Corey should have won. Oh well...just MHO

Hmm...happy with the outcome...not really, but at least Ralphie didn't win...I don't find someone repeating the same phrase over and over and over and over and over and over (and did i mention and over and over) again. I did find Cory the funniest, but I can understand why she didn't win when there were men voting as well...I found her more appealing to the women's sense of humor than the men's.

I watched the end and I was shocked. If this wasn't fixed soemthing was wrong. Dat was not funny. We saw the same routine at least twice and I am pretty sure 3 times in a row. Didn't he have something else in that binder?
Ralphie, while he did repeat that phrase, did a different set each time, and gave us new things to hang laugh at.
