I just saw this preview on Showtime for a reality show about college freshman. I guess they gave some freshman students cameras to record everything that happens to them. Doesn't that sound cool?

Now I am much more interested in this show than I was before!  I didn't realize it was filmed at UT.  I didn't go to UT, but I went to another university in Austin, so this will be a lot like a trip down memory lane for me.

I feel so bad for that girl with the mean dad.  I mean if you don't want to major in computer science you shouldn't have to.

I felt it was sad that after explaining that he hated his job and that it made him 'sick to his stomach' to get up and have to go to work and do that every day, he insisted that his daughter follow his footsteps.  I don't think he's even listening to himself.  What parent raises their child thinking, "I want them to be sick to their stomach every day and be miserable in life"?  He's so focused on the money and "security" that he's forgotten what it's like to feel good or to follow a dream.

When I went to college, I had a very firm sense of what I wanted to major in.  My parents tried to suggest a major for me, but I ended up sticking to my original plan.

i'm so glad y'all are talking about that show...it rocks!! Cool i know, i wanted to kill casey's dad at that family dinner when he was being a complete asshole and then demands a rib...ugh  Angry     i missed last night's episode...could someone fill me in??  hopefully i'll catch a rerun...i really want to know what happened with the gay guy and the girl who's all over him...
