Yeah...I don't get that at all.  He should not be there.. it's worse than Carmen and Nicki combined from the AI shows...where some group keeps voting them in and they are terrible.  Hopefully she will get to pick between the final 2.  I can tell you that if he wins this thing, she will NOT marry him or stay engaged to him past the show.  He should NOT be there!  I have to admit I'm a little more alarmed by Hank after the last couple episodes.  The guys all talked about him being jeckyll and hyde.  He said he can't be the same to them that he is to her, I'd be worried aobut how he treats people in general.  Then there was the jealousy comments... some jealousy is good, too much jealousy is a miserable and controlling partner.  It alarms me...I think I just saw a little too much jealousy.

I really like the short guy, I call him "the king of queens" cause he looks a lot like that actor to me.  He's sweet and settled and would make a wonderful husband and father in my opinion.  A shame she was too overwhelmed by his family, and ultimately I think she is just more physically attracted to some of the other men in the contest.  It can't help that he's the only one left who's shorter than her.

Renda - sweet, a good heart, but a street hustler?  Too immature...I wouldn't want to have kids with him.  He's "good" in that naive sweet kind of way.. you can see that he is just a "good" person, but I don't know that he's ready for a family.

Dominic - he is too young.  You really saw his temper in the last couple episodes.  Now it's not his age that gets me.  I was 27 when I married my then 20 year old husband, but he was always 20 going on 30... there was age to him and wisdom.  I don't sense that in Dominic yet.

Who does that leave?  Evan.  Somehow I think he's the one who'll be the winner of this competition.  I was convinced in the beginning that he was just in it to win the prize, but I'll admit he's grown on me and shown what seems to be some genuine feelings and commitment to the idea of actually marrying her. There's still that little bit of reservation though....

I think the final 2, if it were up to Lisa would come down to Hank and Evan and if I had to choose between the two I'd pick Evan after the last couple episodes.  My ideal pick for her would be the king of queens guy, (I just can't remember his name.. is it Joe?) but I don't think he'll be in the final 2.

Actually, she doesn't get a say in any of it...except whether she marries him (I guess?)...the (oh what is the word I'm looking for here) "twist" or "gimmick" of this show is that she has no choice - but America chooses her hubby...if they stay married for one year then they get the million...You are correct with Joe's name (and I agree with the comparison you've made)...he's very sweet - send him to me!...about Hank...I think it's like Lisa said - I'd worry more if he wasn't himself and put on an act in front of the other guys.

CRUEL JOKE
Fri Aug 29, 3:21 AM ET
By DON KAPLAN

IT appears that the viewers of the dating show "Cupid" are finally in on the reality TV joke; they're tormenting the show's star by voting off the guys she likes.

"Reality TV should be cruel," says "Cupid" executive-producer Simon Cowell. "Life is cruel."

Lisa Shannon, a sexy 25-year-old from Detroit looking for love, agreed to appear on the CBS reality show in which two of her friends choose a group of suitors and then viewers narrow the bunch down until just one is left.

The final suitor has the option to propose to Shannon and if she accepts and can stay married for a year the two collect a $1 million prize.

But it turns out some viewers are hanging up on Lisa to dump each guy she seems to like.

Viewers who chat regularly on the Internet seem to have banded together to vote as a block to keep the one suitor on the show she appears to actively dislike: Robert Amstetler, a fitness model from Los Angeles.

In this week's episode, Shannon made a direct appeal to the audience, in effect asking them to vote off the guys she felt no longer belonged there.

"But I think at the end of the day the viewers will make the right decision," says Simon.

Cowell knows firsthand the fickleness of viewers.

As a judge on "American Idol," viewers have routinely booted off some of the contestants he's felt should win.

"I think what tends to happen is that after a while once they [contestants] get used to the camera, you start seeing more and more of their true personality and when it happens it does lead to a bit of cruelty," he says.

"Let's make her wish she was still the obscure nobody that she should've always been! Vote for Robert!!!!" says a fan posting on the Internet site RealityTVtalk.com.

A quick check yesterday of the Web sites frequented by reality show fans found tons of similar posts all over the net.

I read that today too, holden.  Also, last night I was very sad to see Joe go.  I agree he is great husband material but maybe not for her.  I don't know how well she would fit into that big ole Italian family. I think Hank or Evan is more her style.  I have picked Hank from the very beginning.  So we will soon see. I'm really liking this show since I stuck with it.  Everyone else dogs it, but I am more of an optimist and can go with the flow.

Well it was Renda.  Much as I was sorry to see Renda go, I think it's right he was not the one.

I think this is a classic example of love is blind blind blind....and deaf.  Three of the men now have tried to come to Lisa and warn her and tell her all is not right with Hank and that he has an anger problem. She is so smitten with him she can't see it.  I understand the worst thing they have on tape is him throwing the football, and she doesn't consider that bad enough, but the men are trying to tell her something.  Sometimes it's not a specific incident, it's just the way someone behaves, the way they say things in anger, the look on their face. When 3 different people with different motivations come to you and try to tell you about this, and you ignore it...

Hank's explanation was that he doesn't behave the same way around them that he does her, but what happens when the dating faces come off?  When the facades of being in love come down?  What happens when they have a fight?  I think she made a big mistake tonight...

I have to disagree rhune...She hasn't seen the "other side" of Hank and until she does she shouldn't be worried about it...as for the other guys telling her things and not having a motivation...their motivation was her!  Each of these guys wanted to marry her (for that i have no idea why)...and of course they wanted to eliminate or create doubts about the strongest competition.
