Has anyone else been watching this show on Showtime?  I just started recently and have been catching all the back episodes on in-demand cable.  I'm really enjoying it!

“DEAD LIKE ME”

ALIVE AND KICKING ON SHOWTIME
Quirky New Series About Life After Life is Resurrected for a Second Season

New York, NY, (Sept. 16, 2003) - The critically-acclaimed SHOWTIME/MGM Television Entertainment series DEAD LIKE ME has been given an early renewal for a second season of 15 episodes, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Showtime President of Entertainment. Stated Greenblatt: “This is an unqualified hit for us. Not only have the critics embraced the show, but its premiere time slot on Friday is earning ratings 60% better than the year-to-date time period average and 45% stronger than the network’s overall primetime average. This show portends great things for the future of Showtime, which we hope will become a home for truly original series.”

DEAD LIKE ME, which the L.A. Times dubbed “smartly written and urbane, tender without being sappy, and rich in wonderfully dark, twisted wit,” has not been given a premiere date, but is scheduled to go into production for season two in early 2004. The quirky drama, which premiered on June 27th, 2003, airs Friday nights at 10 p.m. The season one finale is scheduled for September 26th at 10 p.m.

The series, which takes a fresh look at life, death and the afterlife, stars Mandy Patinkin (“Chicago Hope,” “Princess Bride”), Ellen Muth (“The Truth About Jane,” “Cora Unashamed”), Callum Blue (“Devil’s Gate,” “As If”), Laura Harris (“24,” “The Outer Limits”), Jasmine Guy (“A Different World,” “School Daze”) and Cynthia Stevenson (“Hope & Gloria,” “From the Earth to the Moon”).

Laced with edgy humor and irreverence, the series centers on a sullen young woman who is killed when a loose toilet seat from the MIR space station hurtles to earth. Georgia (George) Lass, played by Ellen Muth, is surprised to discover that an afterlife does exist, and that she's already been assigned a job as a “reaper.” Her new boss is Rube (Mandy Patinkin) - one of the many reapers who pluck the souls of the living and escort them to their final destination.

DEAD LIKE ME is executive produced by John Masius (“St. Elsewhere,” “Providence,” “L.A. Law”). The series was created by Bryan Fuller (“Star Trek: Voyager” series). The creative executive for SHOWTIME is Randy Runkle. Clancy Collins is the creative executive for MGM.
