Am watching the awards right now.  SO GLAD I am taping it.  Bill Murray's speech upon accepting Best Actor in a Comedy was priceless.  I'll transcibe it tomorrow if radiogurl doesn't beat me to it. LOLOL
The only other comment I will make quickly, since I'm during commercials, is Rene Zellweger looks SO DAMN GOOD with some meat on her.    Cool

Well I am pretty damn proud of myself.

I went 4 for 4 on the movie prizes (5 if you count picking Renee)

Had Charlize, had Sean Penn, had "Lost in Translation" and "ROTK".  Hey, maybe I do know something about movies after all!

Now the real fun begins!!!  Oscar nominations are out Tuesday morning!

I *live* for the Oscars!  Tongue

Later today I hope to come back and dissect some of the fashions... my other favourite thing to do with award shows.

Rhune, PM me your address and I will send you the tape after I watch it again.   Some of the acceptance speeches were hilarious and not to be missed.  Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, the British guy from The Office....
I'm sure I'll have some fashion comments later as well.

Our very very favorite was Uma Thurman  Tongue

Total class in her orchid gown!  She looked the part of a glamourous movie star.  and of course, Charlize Theron!

P.S.  Who saw "Angels in America"??
Do we need to rent the video or check for it on a cable channel.  After the Golden Globes last year, we also found some good ones we had not seen and they were the cable channels.

Bill Murray's Speech as promised:

You can all relax.  I fired my agents a coupla months ago.  pause.  My trainer, my physical trainer, killed himself. pause.
And I would like to thank the people at Universal and Focus, except that...they're so many people trying to take credit for this I wouldn't even know where to begin. pause.  scratches chin.
I'd like to thank my wife for taking care of our home and our children all of the time that I am away. And I'm away right now on a death ship called "The Life Aquatic" still shooting in Rome, Italy. They're getting it on the feed over there tonight. I'd also like to thank Sophia Coppola for writing a film, pause, that was so good that every actor in the room tonight is saying "that lucky SOB". It coulda been me up there with that damn thing. Thank you.  I'd also like to acknowledge the other distinguished members of the musical and comedy category I'm in this evening.  I think it's too often we forget we forget our OTHER brothers across the aisle...the DRAMATIC actors.  laughs.  And, I'd just like to say that without them, where would our war and our money and our psychological dramas come from?  Let's not forget them tonight. Thanks very much.
