From a tabloid:

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star William Petersen telling the March issue of Playboy that he will exit after fulfilling his contract next season because he's unhappy with CBS and producers for cloning the series.

I find this to be likely, since this particular online tabloid usually is pretty correct, and William Petersen has been quite outspoken to the press with his unhappiness over the series cloning. This comes on the heels of an announcement for CSI: New York planned for next season...

How interesting! I didn't know that. His real-life wife must feel very secure about him being on set with an old flame then! Grin

I am sure they will keep caruso where he is at. They still get good ratings with the Miami show and to move Caruso would only throw two established shows into turmoil, potentially losing ratings on both as a result. It's too much risk. If Miami were doing badly and they were thinking of shutting that show off, then we'd probably see caruso. I think we will see someone entirely new on the vegas CSI.

No, I think they'll want someone with a similar dynamic to Grissom on the team as well. Some people may get bumps, but there will be someone new as well. I noticed they had a new detective with them in last night's episode.

It would be interesting if they put Sara in charge, and brought in someone new to work under her. It would change the dynamic of the show, but it could be compelling for the fans.
