I think America Idol is very over rated....I don't think it deseaves all the viewers it gets, along with Despreat Housewifes......I think The Amazing Race is very under rated....what do you think

I agree with you... I have never watched American Idol, and every Wednesday morning people will talk about it. If they'd ask me if I watched it I'd say no, but I'd be thinking, "No, I was watching NCIS and TAR..."

And Desperate Housewives....... I honestly don't know what is so great about that show. There are people in my school who watch it! Shocked

And my mom and me we just watch Cold Case on Sundays... Lips Sealed

I can't believe it beat the SURVIVOR FINALE!!!

Well, I guess that includes most of America since it is one of the highest rated shows coming out of 2004.

As for American Idol, it is watched and enjoyed by ALL age groups young and old. That is why it has a huge following. So no, it is not overrated. Just because you and Heather don't care for it doesn't mean the rest of America doesn't follow it. AI showcases raw, new and undiscovered talent for those looking for a break into the music industry. Especially for those who cannot afford the avenue to get there. I think that's a great thing. Same thing with Nashville Star.

I'm very offended by this. I do watch Desperate Housewives, and it is not becaue I have nothing better to do. My question to you is have you ever sat down and watched the show all the way through? If you did, perhaps you would see why it is so beloved by so many Americans. The humor is witty, the acting phenomenal, and the script well written. Only one of the housewives has cheated on her husband. And others are divorced or happily married.

I find myself avoiding AI this year. I'll get back to enjoying it when all the prelims are over. I did have it on a while last night when Paula had her meltdown with Simon, but I was on the phone so I didn't get to hear what the heck was going on. I do enjoy Desperate Housewives, and none of these ladies are remotely like I was at that age, except maybe the one with overactive kids. Wink

Survivor is still my favorite reality show, with AR a close second.

uhhnmmm I guess AI is not overrated since..it didn't only have a lot of following in the US but also here in Asia... there are a number of Filipinos watch or follow the show.. and I think in Singapore many are watching it.. after seeing the AI commercials last December when I was there...

I don't watch much TV, but I certainly opted for cold case over the apprentice....

have you noticed a homosexuality trend in cold case (not knocking homosexuality)... but I notice that a lot of episodes deal with secret gay romps and ladder climbing... am i just crazy or way off base?

any CSI fans around?
