Pretty Funny old tv show, mix between Superman and Green Lantern. Ever heard of it?

This show was great fun.  Old tv shows are awesome.  This one is like a mix between superman and the green lantern.  Its got a classic cheesy feel to it too.  It came out in 1981 and I think it ran for 3 seasons...

Check out some clips if you never heard of it.

I haven't gone to the link, but off the top of my head I just remember the scene where he's like in an alley trying to figure out how to fly and the little boy shows him how.

TV Trivia - the guy who played the Greatest American Hero, William Katt, was the real life son of Perry Mason's Della Street (Barbara Hale).  Also, they first season of this show was just released on DVD.

Gotta love that series.

Aliens come down, give him a super suit and an instruction manual on how to use his powers. He inadvertantly blows up his manual and has to learn how to use his powers on his own.

Robert Culp was his detective side-kick. Great series, brings back some good memories of him trying to fly and failing miserably.   Grin
