How about we talk in here!  This way if any of the members have not seen it yet, they don't have to peek. Shocked

They had many hardships and I know I'm so
glad to not have been living in pioneer days!

However,  the Indian was a hunk, right? Wink

I can't get over Jocob walking away from his family after years of searching and believing that they were lost to him!

I understand seeing that they are happy and not wanting to destroy what they have found but geez that's his family!

Luci are you speaking Texese? :laff:

I can't believe how fast  I was drawn into this story ....  Do you think that Jacob and ThunderHeart Woman will ever be together again? And what about his cousin? So far they have brought the Wheelers, the Lakota and the Cheyenne are all now intertwined into the same family tree.

I think it is waaay past time for a manicure!  Roll Eyes ...wouldn't have, there!
......but yes, it's a bit TEXESE Wink
Or my fingers are moving faster than my brain,  Shocked or vice versa!  :laff:

All of them being entertwined is just like real life as it was, right!
And yes, we were so drawn in, when the two hours were up it was disappointing!
I would like to see the whole taping of it without commercials.
All six episodes together, I could sit through it, couldn't you? Wink

Definitlly! I am TIVO'ing every episode and I may transfer it to tape sans commercials after I have all six episodes.

I can't help but think that all of the "children" are going to come together in a future episode on opposite sides of conflict. It seems that we are not through with the "Virginia" Wheelers yet and I know that  Loved by the Buffalo will continue to be a big part in the future.

Boy, that's a tough one.....

I am pretty adventurous, not content to stay in one place and do the same things day in and day out. I would have to say that I identify most strongly with Jacob because I don't wait for the world to come to me. I try to make my own adventures.

You?

So far I would say Rachel Wheeler.
She has the best life going, so far! Wink

Each week, I may change my thoughts on it!

Leah died in the river, Rachel died during the amputation and Naomi was taken by the Cheyenne.

I can identify with Rachael, but would like to be Naomi.  Her Cheyenne is sooo  hot! Roll Eyes
Makes you wonder how many houses etc. are built over the bones of those that died along the way and were buried in desolate places.
One of my great aunts used to tell us of having her pies stolen off her windowsills, out west, by the indians on baking day.  I remember hearing her tell us many stories, because she was the first "dead person in a box" I ever saw, and I  touched her and she wasn't as soft and warm as when I sat in her lap!
But I digress, I cried a few times during this episode!

Mum, I'm with ya on this one.  Our tribe wasn't Cheyenne, but I'm
always sad when the Indians are getting a raw deal from the white man!

I'm ready for Week 3!

Lake,  are you NOT talking about this episode yet?
