Is anyone else watching this?  The first episode got such huge buzz and the reviewers all talked about how funny it was, etc.  I caught the second episode last night, but would love to have a summary of the first one.  I missed some of the basic background of how/why his parents sold him in the first place.  Smiley

I don't remember the exact reason, but when his dad made the deal, he sold the soul of his firstborn.  His dad figured..."Okay, we just won't have any kids".  Then the doctor tells him he is sterile and figures there is no way his wife can get pregnant and quits taking precautions. Turns out that the doctor owed the devil a favor as well and lied to the dad about being sterile.  Now the kid is a bounty hunter trying to round up the escaped souls by using a different "vessel" each episode.  In the first episode the kid used a dirt devil with super suction powers.  Now his buddies believe him and it looks like they'll be helping him on his quest.

I wasn't expecting this show to be funny.  It was a pleasant surprise.

Thanks for the summary ExIsle_be_back.  I missed the first episode too and wondered about the mom taking the "I'm collecting souls for the devil" explanation in stride.  That helps.

One other thing....If he doesn't help the devil, the devil will take his mom's soul.  She offered to take his place and get him off the hook, but he told her he only had to do it that one time.  So she doesn't know he still has to do it.

When's this on again?  I think I missed it.

She does know now, as of the end of the second episode.  It's on Monday or Tuesday nights, can't remember which...

I really liked the one episode I've watched so far, hopefully we've got the DVR all sorted out for next week.  Cheesy

This series is getting more intriguing! I was really shocked when Sam's dad ripped off a page in the contract and threw it to the fire. I haven't thought of any possibilities for what it could be.

The only thing I could think of that made any sense to me was if his kid could get out of the contract by dealing away the soul of his first born.  Other than that I have no idea why he would destroy the page.
