Well, I havent seen anyone who is chinese (and im not necessarily saying you need to be chinese to know how to speak the language) but there havent been any and its a hard language to read and to talk...most other countries have languages with words that sound the same as Canadian or American language..

so yea.. Cheesy

sorry but are talking about what countries dont talk english? or what countries dont teach english?

My opinion would be Russia. So many dialects and hardly anyone knowing more than just those... other than the big cities.

I spent four months in Wuxi, China. It's a small town outside of Shanghai. Let me say, there is definitely a huge language barrier. Virtually nobody spoke English. Even when I went into Shanghai and Beijing, it was still hard to communicate. Hong Kong is an exception. Since it was colonized by the British, English is the official language there. Also, being from South Africa myself, there isn't much of a language barrier. South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, and Kenya all have English as their official language. Also, English is widely spoken in Ethiopia even though their official language is Amharic. Swahili is widely spoken in Eastern Africa, but so is English.

Anyway, it was a really fun episode, where there was the unforgettable caviar eating RB. 2 teams lost their leads because the girls couldn't force themselves to eat.

I would say more people in Russia could speak English than China. China is now only trying to get its people to speak English. Well, I'm Chinese, so I've no problem in China! Grin

South Korea is also another tough one!

Yeah, I would have to agree that China (for now) would have the worst language barrier for Racers, since most don't speak English, and most Racers don't speak Chinese.

South Korea is slowly building their English skills now. I heard they are getting Filipinos from here to teach them English.

Any one been to Japan yet? How's the language barrier there? I am of the impression that the place is "tourist friendly" and that you can get by by just speaking English. Am I wrong?
