Amazing Race DVDs on Ebay

I have a question about the Amazing Race DVDs on Ebay. Is it smart to buy copies of previous seasons of TAR on DVD from Ebay? I've heard about scams of that sort and was wondering if anybody knows whether or not this is a smart move. I'd be pretty ticked if it turned out to be a scam.

Sorry I can't help you... but I wouldn't suggest buying them from ebay because you never know. There is a site... burried in previous posts, that a guy is selling them. A forum member has bought a dvd before and it wasn't a scam.

Well why do you think we're all waiting for them to actually come out on DVD in stores if there selling on Ebay for real lol ... dunno I haven't bought anything on ebay ever, but I hear it's not such a great Idea..

Ya i wouldn't suggest buying it off ebay too, cause you never know what they'll make you pay, maybe its more expensive than the real thing and shipping costs and stuff like that, its much more expensive that way but if your willing to pay more than go for it, youll have it before anyone else lol!  Grin

The DVDs were probably "home made". I am making my own DVD for Season 3 but the quality of the episodes that I have are crappy. Still, I'm practicing it on Season 3, so that when I make my own DVD for Season 6 and 7, I can get good quality episodes for those seasons (from mIRC), and burn them on DVD.
 
It doesn't have special features though, so I am still thinking of buying TAR DVD in the future.

I think it's pretty expensive to buy from Ebay.. You will have to compete with your money out there.. And just like JP I make homemade vcds and dvds.. Hahah! But as of now I've only got TAR5 here..  Grin

i only record on vhs it but then since we got a dvd recorder i am going to start recording it in dvd

Hey you guys, I have a dvd player..but how do you buy a dvd recorder? Or is there a special button on the dvd player, because on my remote control for the dvd player there is no record button...so I'm like, so lost! HELP! Because I do record it on VHS....but I hear DVD lasts longer..so yea.
 
Urg..I just wish they would release all seasons on DVD!

Nope you need to buy a special DVD recorder machine or TiVO works really well you can edit the comercials out.

What does a DVD recorder machine look like..how cheap seriously shouldn't it come with the dvd player..gosh

the dvd recorder are normal dvds player but they are worth a little more like $262 thats how much we paid and they are really cool.....a tivo is weir to explain it like digital cable but a little more advanced . .
