what points do you like about the new edition? what point do you hate?

1. there are no intercontinental flights. i will miss aiport strategizing. that was one of the most crucial parts in the game.

2. there are virtually no language barriers. nuff said.

3. there are more people to keep track of. difficult for me. also: more names to memorize.

The only thing that will be bad, no airports. Airport bunching caused a lot of drama.... and some funny moments too....

There will stull be airports involved for places that are too far to fly (see spoiler section for guessed locations). But it won't be as crucial because they will not be flying as long distances and there will probably be more frequant flights if they are flying to major cities, especially in the US.

there will be no taxi races. also: the fate of the teams will not be wrested by  drivers (who may be fast or slow). === less luck factor

Will the Contestants be driving all over the USA?
I would think at some point they will need an airport.
Maybe not!

argh. airports and taxis are some of the best parts!

while i still am enjoying the family edition, all i see are the disadvantages of it compared to the original format.

Perhaps it's still a wee bit too early to tell if the family edition pales in comparison with the original format.

It's the first time the TAR producers came up with a different game-plan. In cases of which, the Family Edition. We should give it a chance first before we pass down the final judgement...

...although I would have to agree that the best part of the Race is watching the airport drama, where teams cross continents. That is the climax of the entire Race!
