yah, we need subtitles! because asians speak different languages. the teams might slip into bahasa or chinese and then i wouldn't understand a thing.

i wonder how that might affect strategizing. people could talk in other people's faces about strategy and not worry about them understanding!

That puts a new twist into it. It would bring more paranoia between each teams. LOL

I'm thinking they'll be looking for applicants who are at least bilingual (i.e. can fluently speak both their native language and English).

English is the captions because we have different languages here in Asia. Also, AXN only covers I think Philippines, Hong Kong, SIngapore, Malaysia,

There is also The Amazing Race Central Europe with contestants from 6 countries(Romania,Bulgaria,Poland,Czech Republic,Slovak Republic,Hungary).they are now casting the teams until december.The filming will begin in the spring.And that is a race around the world with the same rules as the US show.Imagine the drama!!!!My parents audition but they didn't get in Angry

Asia: Avaliable in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Korea, Japan, Macao, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Israel, and China.

Central Europe: Avaliable in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria.

i hypothesize that AXN will be producing the central europe version too.

so many asian countries! not even enough for one team per country!
