Several reasons:

1/ The teams didn't travel but a couple of episodes to foreign countries where they had to test themselves in different cultures with different languages.

2/ Tasks have been easier.

3/ See 1 and 2 above. The combination has resulted in a race where there is not separation when a team is better than another in a particular segment.

Seems all you need to do is drive trailer from point a to point b without screwing up to badly to maintain your place.

Sigh, boring TAR8.

It's great!!! And this season was awsome too! Just because it wasn't the same as the last season, doesn't mean it's automatically worse then the last season i liked it Cheesy

Yes, i liked the idea of racing around the "WORLD" with your family.

And i liked this season better, because throughout this TAR 8, only disliked the Weavers...

As for TAR 7, I hated Ray/Deana, Susan/Patrick, Lynn/Alex, Ron/Kelly and the worst of all, ROB AND AMBER.

Hence in terms of teams, this season is MUCH MUCH AND WAYYYYY MUCH BETTER Cool

Tar8 was good. There are some very interesting teams... and you have the fighting again... Weavers vs. the Linz.

It's a good season, I think all TAR is good Cheesy

I think the teams make the show.. The Weaver and Linz feud makes the show entertaining.

I am surprised at how much I enjoy this season. I didn't think I would, but I surprising like it..

There have been some cool detours and roadblocks (the ski jump, the thing at the Space Camp,). I thought the crossing of the Delaware was interesting. I also found it neat that they had the teams go on a mystery bus, adding an element of surprise to the teams.

Overall I'd have to give this season a 7.5/10

Who says driving from point to point didn't affect your placing? The Godlewskis and Linz both fell to last due to production errors. If you are talking about flights, this is almost similar as plane delays or getting on a later flight, i don't see any difference in them at all.

It's a matter on whether you like it or think the race is boring, for most of us here *as you can see*, we are still enjoying this race as much as we thought we wouldn't. And for this, there isn't a need or point for you to make a topic about how you think this race is boring and things like that.

IMO, the amazing race is inherently great. some seasons maybe better than others, but, as long as it's TAR, it's great.

i don't think TAR8 is a letdown because no one ever expected it to be at par with the previous seasons.

it's only a letdown if you expected too much from it at the start.
