i bet the first team to arrive on the season 9 of the amazing race will not reach the finale..
 
same thing happened on the past seasons...
(except tara and wil, ken and gerard)
 
season 4 millie and chuck, steve and josh, amanda nad chris
season 5 alison and donny
season 6 hayden and aaron
season 7 debbie and bianca
season 8 godlewski family

This is not truely accurate.. since 2 teams from past seasons did went to the finals.
 
If you want to see who goes to the finals, time every team screen time.. the 5 teams with the highest screen time will *most likely* be in the finals.
 
Paolos, Linz, Gaghan, Godlewski, Bransens and Weavers got the most screentime in TAR 8 in episode one. But even though Rogers and Schroeders placed before some of the teams in episode 1, they didn't really get the amount of screen time they deserved.

The Aiellos got a lot of screentime in Episode 1. I remember their edit revolved around being nationalistic or something like that. They were 3rd eliminated.

In Season 1 the final three were the first three people in the first episode, Rob and Brennan came 1st both legs....
 
Season 7: Rob and Amber came in 3rd and ended up 2nd last leg,
Season 6: Kris and Jon were 2nd leg one, 2nd last leg.
 
 
 
Debbie and Bianca could have made it to the finals if they went the right way lol
Weavers came in 3rd first leg, and 3rd final leg
 
I dont think the first leg really has a lot to do with it. TAR is so unpredictable, it can change in a second; which is why it is so awesome, you have no idea who is going to be eliminated

Yes... it's unpredictable.
 
The only time when i'm impress with Survivor when the person who is going to be eliminated turn his/her tables and move on.
 
But we don't see that often on Survivor, so TAR rocks!

I think it all has to do with fate. Not much of a pattern because the race is always so unpredictable... Wink
 
And I don't think that the teams with the most airtime are in the final 3...
