Question about Phil

I know that Phil sometimes travels on the same flight as many of the teams. But does Phil fly first class or does he go in coach with the rest of the teams? It makes sense to me that he would fly first class to avoid teams noticing him and trying to follow him since First class gets on and off first....

If Phil flies on a flight with a team that is delayed how does he get the detour/roadblock stuff set up?
ex. In the episode 1 of TAR9 the earliest flight was delayed and got in 2nd...

Are there crew ahead of the pack to set everything up ahead of time so that if Phil is really far behind he can go straight to the Pitstop instead of going to the route markers?

I imagine he goes seperately, as popo suggests...he doesn't go to the roadblocks or detours (except for the haystack one but thats b/c they were soooooo far behind)

He does go to the detours and roadblocks because there is a segmant that has him explaining the task and he is usually at the site during that filming

I know that they have the 12 hour pitstop but Phil has said in interviews before that he is often on the same flight as the teams. I cannot remember what episode it was but in either season 6 or 7 Phil said he had to rush to get to the Pit Stop ahead of the teams.

I know in one of the insider videos from I believe Season 6 Phil is stuck in traffic heading to the Pit stop and is worried he won't get there before the other teams...

What I mean about the detours/roadblocks is every leg Phil says "a detour is a choice blah blah blah" and he is usually at the place where the routemarker is when he says that (same with the roadblock)

If he is on the same flight as any of the teams does he go to the Pitstop to meet the teams and then later do the "a detour is a choice..." that we see on air?

Well, it coud be done many ways.... I mean he doesnt have to explain it for the teams he is explaining it for us. So if he's running late he can skip that segment.... get to the pitstop check in the teams... then during the 12 hour break he can do his explenations.
