Probably there was another Yield in the show but no one decided to use it hence they didn't show it.

But two Yields is really more than enough.

In previous seasons where there were Yields every leg or at least more than three Yields, only two Yields were used too. Hence i think the producers decreased the number of Yields to make it more valuable and make sure a team uses it.

Starting with the first Yield, they said "This is the first of only two Yields on the entire race." It seemed planned and frankly, I don't care much for the Yield, so the lower number didn't bother me.

Jeff, Phil also said that there's only one Fast Forward on TAR 8 but we all know that there's supposed to be 2 FF and not one on TAR 8.

The Fast Forwards tend to be toss-aways when nobody goes after them because there's no drama when no one cares. However, with the Yields, even if nobody uses them, teams debate whether or not to use them, so they would show that for some added drama.

So, I just think they didn't have a third Yield this season.

This season has been almost unexpected. It's like the TAR 4 format with added Yields and less FF..

That's an instult. TAR4 sucked sooo bad. At least I thought it did. lol. TAR9 may have been boring at times but TAR4 was just horible.

I mean in terms of elimination style, it's almost similar.

TAR 4 had NELs at final 5, final 4 and final 3. It's the same as TAR 9, isn't it?

TAR4 has NEL on legs 8,10,12 all the other seasons had 4 NEL's until they started doing the TBC, which is like NEL in some ways..
Also, TAR4 had more teams which is why there's less NEL and it's later.

I liked TAR4, good thing i did or i would have never seen TAR5. And that would have been terrible. LOL.

I like the Yield, because it creates drama, but that's just me..
