Final Leg

I find it interesting that there is so much emphasis/hope/excitement on the Final Three but looking through the past seasons, most of the final leg is against two teams..

TAR1- It was Rob/Brennan vs Fank and Margarita with no chance of Bill and Joe winning
didn't see TAR2-5 enough to comment, but there was another season where the final team was in Hawaii and the race was over

TAR6- The final leg came down to Kris and Jon vs Freddy and Kendra
TAR7- The final leg came down to Uchenna/Joyce vs Rob and Amber
TAR8- The last moments of the race went to the Bransen Family vs the Linz Family
TAR9 The final moments of the race came down to Eric/Jeremy vs BJ/Tyler
TAR10- The final leg was Rob/Kimberly and TYler and James

I also find it funny that in both TAR7 and 10, the winning team just made it on the plane after being told it was full or impossible to get on, while the other team sat on the plane thinking they had the race in hand. The winning team in both seasons were fortunate to have a taxi driver who helped them win the race while the other team lost partially because of their cab driver.

well, with Lyn and Karlyn saying it was smart of them going with Orly the first time, it wasn't really their call, it's just what was available. so then they were like "We're so smart going to Orly to find a flight back to New York" i was like, "no, you're not, because if you were smart you'd know that CDG had better flights to New York"

having said that, i was behind them 100% for the whole race, start to finish.  Smiley

They went back there because since in the first place, they arrive there throught Orly Airport and had some good luck with it. Hence it's definitely natural instincts for them to return there.

But yea, the final leg is always against 2 teams -
TAR 1
TAR 4
TAR 5
TAR 6
TAR 7
TAR 8
TAR 9
TAR 10

That's what makes TAR 2 and TAR 3 finale memorable. No one knows who's winning. Grin

I dont know why they went to Orly first... You always go to the major airport first. Obviously it was better to go there when you're flying "domestically" but when you're flying across the pond or elsewhere you go to the biggest airport..

Even though all 3 teams were on the same flight to San Francisco in TAR2, it still turned out to be a mad dash between 2 teams. Blake and Paige were too far behind to catch up.

Somewhat like TAR 5, they decided to totally leave out Brandon/Whiney.

Somehow I always feel that the final leg isn't really filled with suspense. Most of the time, the team who gets the clue first wins. In TAR 5, Chim and Kim completed the maze first and they won. This season, Tyler and James found the picture first and they won. I would like to see the second team catch up and win! Hee.

^That's why I think it was better to have a RB right before the finish line. It can totally change the outcome of the game. Best example: BJ/Tyler's win over ErJer on the Flags RB. Cheesy

I liked TAR8 and 9 that had a final roadblock right by the finish line... In both cases it came very close with two teams battling it out with each other..

I like that TAR8 was so close

Wasn't TAR2 the one where someone gave up just before the finish line? They stopped running or something.

I remember that much. I must have watched the finale at least  Tongue

Oh yes. Or any cool task! Or maybe the race course should just be extended. Like, teams fly to the final destination and complete more tasks before racing to the finish line. Gives a higher chance for teams on a later flight to catch up.

I don't believe that Tara gave up.
