Cast more geographically inclined people, please!

There have been quite a number of tasks involving flags of different countries, and most of them faltered. Linda Weaver points to a lake in Louisiana, saying that it's one of the Great Lakes. Some teams pronounce major cities wrongly, like Brandon's "Dubay". And just last episode, we see Lyn and Karlyn going to a domestic airport, thinking they would get a flight to New York.

The only geographically-inclined teams I can think of are Flo and Zach (identifying that the Petronas Twin Towers were in Malaysia right away) and Aaron and Arianne (they seem to be).

Firstly, Lyn and Karlyn went to the domestic airport because they had luck with it when they arrive there. Remember how their flight landed there and they became the first to reach the tower? By basic instincts, it would be logical for them to return there to try out their luck.

Secondly, who's the one person starting this thread who's rooting for Eric/Jeremy when Jeremy could have known better than to point at Mount Fuji and said "that must be Mount Tokyo!".

I don't dislike Lyn and Karlyn because they don't know their geography.

I think people go onto TAR because they wanted to experience new things. If they are already well travelled and geographically incline, we won't be seeing much of the "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs" when people went to places they have never been to before.

Ahem, Popo. You need to lessen these types of posts (posts that looks like you're attacking someone's credibility). Unless you're kidding.

In response to the topic, who's to say they're not doing this already? For all we know, the first 5 teams eliminated were all geographically-inclined, but they lack the strength and luck to go further in the race. And I think the casting people really can't tell who are geographically-inclined and who are not. I think they'd rather cast an interesting team rather than a strong/intelligent one.

David and Mary were fun to watch, but I hope TAR would try not to cast such people again.

If I'm not mistaken, Bill and Joe were the only team to identify that the Taj Mahal was in Agra, and not New Delhi. Am I right?

with all fairness, I didn't know where the Taj Mahal was either...

I do find some of the comments about North America rather odd.. The Great Lake One for me...
ANd I suppose this is coming from someone who lives in Toronto and has lived in the GTA for over a decade, I thought it to be rather funny when the teams were looking at the CN Tower [s.8] and asked where they were...

I love when the teams are told where to go and they have no idea where that is or even heard of some of the places...
