As I live in Australia, i really dont know how popular TAR is in the US, but im guessing it does OK seeing as there have been 10 seasons so far..

However i have read in several places over the net that TAR doesn't rate very well? Is this true?

Also i would like to point out that here in Aus, every season has had a late time-slot, which is usually resered for low-rating shows.. hwoever the family edition which is airing here atm has been moved down to 8:30pm time slot, which is pretty prime time..

I am more "addicted" to Amazing Race than Survivor because every episode it is different. Survivor I find gets rather reduntant in the things that happen, there is always backstabbing and lying, but Amazing Race is so unpredictable and every episode (well almost all) you see a new different culture and experience...

Well, I don't know anything about ratings but apparently TAR does not have exceptionally high ratings like Survivor, American Idol... etc.

However, despite this setback, it still is able to win the Emmy Awards for the Best Reality/Competition show for 4 years in a row, facing competition from the higher rated shows.

Therefore, ratings are not a very accurate measure on how good a show is. But anyway, TAR10 has received a pretty good amount of ratings in its new Sunday 8pm timeslot and we should all be happy about it since higher ratings play a part in how many more wonderful seasons we get to see =)

Ratings are just something brainless network execs use as an excuse to cut a program they don't like more then likely less then 20% of a shows audience is actually counted a point on as somebody who watches it when in actual fact alot more people maybe watching it
