Monarchk's Amazing Race Ep. 1 Final Part
« on: Mar 25th, 2005, 9:30pm »

Monarchk’s Amazing Race Ep. 1 Pt. 3 “You really need to do something about those stairs, because I swear I am NEVER climbing something like that again.”

Last time on MAR:

Five teams gained an early lead over the other six, and arrived at the Universidad de San Carlos, the third oldest university of the New World. There they had to find a student with the ID number that matched the total age of all the racers. Afterwards, the teams had to do an artistic Roadblock. Dennis and Denise have led the way so far. Will they be able to stay strong and snag a first place finish? Will the teams on the last flight be able to catch up with the rest of the pack? In this double length episode, find out who will be eliminated next.

Cris and Erin had volunteered to do the Roadblocks for their teams. “This shouldn’t be too hard,” Cris commented as she got to work painting coffee beans.

Meanwhile, Sarah was still searching for Jude. “JUDE! WHERE ARE YOU?” Sarah shouted. “JUDE! I have the clue!” As she continued running down the halls, she passed Daniel and Abigail. “They caught up already.”

“See, Daniel,” Abigail said. “We’re not that far behind at all. That was Sarah running around. She lost Jude.”

“I don’t blame him,” Daniel said, as he checked another student’s ID.

At last, Sarah found Jude. “There you are! What were you doing?”

“I was checking some IDs. What were you doing?” Jude asked.

“I was looking for you! I’ve got the clue!” Sarah shouted as he waved the envelope in Jude’s face.

“Whoa, Sarah. Calm down. Take deep breaths and you’ll be fine,” Jude said, trying to help his frustrated friend. “Now, let’s read the clue.”

Sarah ripped open the clue and read it. “Who’s the next Picasso? I’ll do it.”

<>

“615. Do you have a clue? Yes? THANK YOU!” shouted Camille. “Jasmine, I got it!”

“Good job, Cammy,” Jasmine said. She read the clue. “Who’s the next Picasso? That is so you.”

<>

“Done!” said Cris. She had just finished off her sculpture of the country and had it approved by the supervisor. She took her clue and exited the room with Ken.

“You were great in there,” Ken said to his wife.

“Thanks. Now let’s see what we’re doing next,” Cris said.

“We’re going to the Temple of Kulkulcan in Chichen Itza,” Ken said. “To the driveway!”

Shortly after, Erin also finished her sculpture and took the clue. Pyotr and her then ran for the car and drove off to Chichen Itza.

<>

“Yes,” Andrea said, as she got the clue from the girl. “Thank you. Now for the hard part: finding Allison.”

It turned out to not be as hard as she had thought however as Allison was only a few meters away. “I got it Allie,” Andrea said.

“Well, read it,” Allison said.

“Roadblock,” Andrea said. After reading the description, Andrea said, “I’m doing it.”

“Okay, let’s go.”

<>

“Excuse me,” Dennis said, as he pulled over on the streets of Guatemala. “Can you tell me how I can get to Chichen Itza?”

The local took the twin’s map and marked the route in pen. Dennis thanked the man, then got back in the car. “Oh yeah! Nothing can stop us now!”

<>

“Daniel, I got the clue,” Abigail said.

“Good job. Read it,” Daniel said.

“It’s a Roadblock,” Abigail read. “Who’s the next Picasso? I’ll be doing this one, I guess.”

<>

Sarah ran into the art room, threw on a smock and decided that the best thing to do was to start painting the coffee beans. “This is ridiculous!” Sarah exclaimed.

“What’s ridiculous?” Jude asked.

“That we’re so far behind!” Sarah shouted. “We could’ve been right up there with the other four teams, but, no, you have to run off! Do you realize how long it took me to find you?”

“Ten minutes?” Jude said.

“No way! It must be at the very least ELEVEN!” Sarah said, as she painted her sixth bean.

“Calm down Sarah. We’ll be fine. There’s no way we’ll get eliminated here. There are teams that haven’t landed in Guatemala yet,” Jude said.

“Well, I don’t see you helping me any!” Sarah said.

“Sarah. It’s a roadblock,” Jude pointed out.

Just as Sarah finished the painting task and went to work on the clay, Jasmine and Camille walked into the room. “Oh my god!” Jasmine said. “I can’t believe we caught up with you guys!”

Sarah gave Jude a mean look. Jude only shrugged.

“I’m going to draw instead of paint, Jasmine,” Camille said. “I’m a much faster drawer.” She took the book that the previous teams had used to get a picture of the country and flipped a few pages to find the flag.

“I was using that book,” Sarah said to Camille, her voice very tense.

“Huh? Oh sorry,” said Camille timidly. She closed the book and pushed it over to Sarah. “There you go.”

As she walked over to the easels to paint, Jude whispered the words “Good choice” in Camille’s ear.

<>

“LAND!” Jason said as the three teams on the last flight ran to get their clue.

“We need to get a bus,” Dotty said. The grandparents ran through the terminal to get to the roadside. Steve tried to wave down a bus, but it wasn’t working.

Meanwhile, Cliff & Jason and Alonzo & James heard from a local in the terminal that there was a bus station a few blocks away. They were assured that the buses would be very fast and didn’t make many stops. So, the two teams decided not to wave down a bus and run to the station instead.

<>

Back in the art room, Abigail, Camille, and Andrea had successfully finished painting, and, much to the delight of everyone else in the room, Sarah finished the Roadblock (after a lot more whining about how Jude never paid an ounce of attention to her).

“Sorry everyone!” Jude said, right after an exasperated Sarah left the room.

The others smiled. “Good luck, Jude,” Daniel said as the surfer left. “I feel so sorry for him.”

“I’m drawing now,” Camille said. She took the book and flipped to the page with the flag on it. “That’s the flag?” Camille looked nervous.

“What’s wrong? Can’t you draw it?” Jasmine asked.

“Yeah, but, but, that emblem in the middle is really complex,” Camille said.

“Yeah,” Jasmine said. “Where did you think we were, Libya?” Camille sighed and set to work.

Abigail and Andrea chose to sculpt the country instead. They weren’t doing a very good job of it.

“Andrea,” Allison said to her sister, “not to sound overcritical, but … that looks an awful lot like South Carolina.”

Andrea looked at her sculpture, then at the book. “Oh no! This is the Honduras page! Abigail, we have to start over.”

Abigail looked at her clay creation, then at Andrea’s book. “You do, but I don’t!” she smiled. “I’ve been looking at the map on the back cover.” She continued working furiously on her project.

“Sorry, Allison,” Andrea sighed, rolling up her clay.

“It’s okay, Andie,” Allison said.

“Done!” said Camille.

“Yay!” Jasmine shouted. “Go Cammy!”

Camille took the clue and the friends left the room.

<>
“We get off at this exit,” Dennis said. “Just 90 more miles.”

“Dennis,” Denise said, looking back out the window. “There’s a team behind us.”

“No way! Who is it?”

“It’s … PYOTR AND ERIN! How did they catch up to us?” Denise asked, completely taken by surprise.

“Well, you know how Pyotr is behind the wheel of a car,” Dennis chuckled.

“No, I don’t,” Denise said.

“Well, the less you know the better,” Dennis said. “That Pyotr is a real crazy driver. Did you know that he once crashed into Sandra Diaz-Twine? Now I know why she didn’t compete in All-Stars.”

“And how do you know all this?” Denise asked.

“I don’t, I’m just making it all up,” Dennis laughed.

“Dennis!” Denise half reprimanded half laughed. “You’re cruel!”

In Pyotr and Erin’s car, another conversation was going on. “This is great that we’re going to a Mayan place, because I had to take a course on this in high school. Maybe the information will come in handy,” Erin said.

“Yeah,” Pyotr said. “Do you think I should drive on the shoulder up here?”

“Pyotr, behave!” Erin said, hitting him with a clue. “We are not going to drive like idiots as you do in Alaska.”

“Aww,” Pyotr said, disappointed. “We could have easily passed them, but I guess if you don’t want to…”

“You never said anything about passing other teams! Go! Go! Go!” Erin said.

“Pyotr’s driving on the shoulder of the highway,” Denise said. “I think there is some merit to your story, Dennis.”

<>

“Yes, we got a bus!” Cliff said. The two brother teams got onto the bus and headed for the university.

Over at the terminal however Dotty and Steve still couldn’t get a bus. They decided that should try a different spot of the town to catch one. As the two walked down the street, completely unaware as to where they were, they saw a local wave down a bus on the next block. The two ran full speed to try to get on the bus and successfully made it. Soon they were also on their way to university.

<>

“Finished,” Abigail said. She grabbed the clue and her brother and she left the room.

“I’m sorry, Allie,” Andrea said, molding her country. “This is all my fault. We could’ve been the first ones done.”

“Andrea,” Allison said. “Stop beating yourself up. Everything will work out. We’re going to get eliminated over clay. Come on. You can do it.”

“Thanks Allie,” Andrea smiled.

<>

“See, Erin, we got here first,” Pyotr said, parking the car. “We’ve got to hurry.”

“Yes, we’re in Chichen Itza!” Dennis exclaimed. “This is great.” He parked the car and the twins left to find the Temple of Kulkulcan.
<>

“This is our exit?” Cris asked.

“Yeah, this is it,” Ken said, turning. “90 more miles.”

“Where’s David and Kailee?” Cris asked. “I thought they were following us.”

“Oh, they had to stop at a gas station to get directions,” Ken said. “They must have lost their map if they have to stop to ask directions.”

<>

“I see a flag! I see a flag!” Denise shouted. “Dennis, over there.” The twins ran to the box, closely followed by Pyotr and Erin. “Detour: Pyramid or Sphere?”

In this detour, teams must choose between two famous Mayan landmarks in Chichen Itza. The choices: Pyramid or Sphere. In Pyramid, teams must search the Temple of Kulkulcan for the Jaguar Throne. The teams are already at the location of the task and it won’t take much physical effort, but only a team with thorough knowledge of Mayan history will know that the throne is not on the top of this large temple, but in it. In Sphere, teams must travel to a large ballcourt and shoot five goals. This won’t take much physical effort or much knowledge of Mayan culture either, but teams must find the ballcourt,  scoring in the tiny hole will be a challenge, and every team opting for this detour choice must shoot in the same goal.

“Pyotr, let’s do Pyramid,” Erin said. “Remember, I know all about this stuff.”

“I think we should go with Pyramid,” Denise said. “We’re already here.”

“No, Sphere. I’d rather throw a ball than run around a pyramid looking for something,” Dennis said.

“Let’s flip for it,” Denise said. “I’m tails, you’re heads.” Denise flipped the coin.

<>

Ken and Cris jumped out of their car and began searching for the clue box. Meanwhile, David and Kailee and Sarah and Jude fought for position on the road.

<>

Back in the art room, Andrea finished the task. She hugged Allison and ran for the cars. “We did good,” Allison said, driving the car to the highway. “We finished before any of the teams on the last flight arrived, which is great.”

“Just in time, too,” Andrea said, glancing out the window. “Cliff & Jason and Alonzo & Jason just arrived.”

<>

“You see, Pyotr,” Erin said, walking around the pyramid, “the Mayans used to build larger pyramids outside the older, smaller ones. So it only stands to reason that the throne will be inside the pyramid. Now, if there was a door or something –”

“Erin, over there,” Pyotr said. The two ran to the door, opened it and found themselves inside a beautiful room full of Mayan artifacts. “It looks like something out of a movie.”

“There it is! We found it!” Erin said, taking a clue off the throne. Erin ripped it open and read the clue. “Proceed to the pit stop, the Temple of the Inscriptions in Palenque. Let’s go!”

The engaged couple kissed then ran to their car. “We’re going to be first!” Erin said.

“I’m flooring it,” Pyotr said, driving out of Chichen Itza.

<>

Sarah and Jude managed to pull ahead of David and Kailee on their highway battle and arrived at Chichen Itza first. “We need to find the flag,” Jude said.

Meanwhile, Ken and Cris found the temple. “Pyramid or Sphere? Well, Pyramid of course. Let’s go,” Ken said. The two began to climb up the pyramid instead of running around it to look for a door.

David and Kailee soon came to Chichen Itza as well. “Let’s go! Sarah and Jude are right over there!”

<>

“Excuse me, senorita,” Pyotr said, coming up to a local. “Can you point out the way to Palenque on this map?” Pyotr handed the woman her map.

The woman took the map and pointed out the way. “Muchas gracias,” Erin said, as the two drove to Palenque.

<>

“So, we need to score five times,” Dennis said, staring at the tiny goal. He took a ball and aimed at the hole. The ball bounced off. “This may take a while.”

<>

“There it is! We found it!” shouted Pyotr. Pyotr and Erin ran up the steps of the Temple of the Inscriptions. The two stepped on the mat in front of Monarchk and a colorfully dressed Mayan.

“Welcome to Palenque, Mexico,” said the greeter.

“Thank you,” the two said.

“Pyotr and Erin. You are team number ONE!” Monarchk said.

“YEAH!” Pyotr and Erin shouted, hugging each other.

“As a reward for your efforts, you have won a trip for two to beautiful Sydney, courtesy of American Airlines,” Monarchk told the ecstatic couple.

“No way!” Pyotr gasped.

“We did pretty well for our first leg,” Erin said.

<>

“Finally! We scored!” Denise shouted.

“Here comes Sarah and Jude,” Dennis said. “We need to go faster!”

Jude joined the twins in shooting at the goal. Jude made it on his very first try. “Good job, Jude!” Sarah shouted.

“Do you want to shoot also, Sarah?” Jude asked, as he made another goal.

“Okay, I guess so,” Sarah said. She threw a ball that not only also went into the small hole, but also knocked Denise’s ball on the way down. “This is easy!”

One more score from Sarah and one more score from Jude let the friends grab their clue and climb back up in positions. “Let’s go!”

“As unstable as that team, you must admit they rock at these challenges,” Dennis said, missing again.

Denise soon scored the second point for their team.

<>

“There’s nothing up here,” Cris said, once they reached the top of the pyramid.

“Maybe it’s in the pyramid. Let’s go down and look around,” Ken said. The two ran down the stairs and met David and Kailee who were just coming up.

“Is it up there?” David asked.

“Yeah. It’s really small though, you have to really search the top of the pyramid for it,” Ken said.

At the bottom of the pyramid, Cris said, “If they bought that story, I’m going to be laughing for weeks.”

<>

“Here’s the exit,” said Camille. “We’re almost there.”

“We need to go faster. Daniel and Abigail are close behind,” Jasmine said, very nervous.

<>

Back at the university, the three teams had each found the ID and Dotty, Cliff, and Alonzo were chosen to do the Roadblock. Alonzo and Cliff both had a head start over Dotty, so they finished ahead of her and also at roughly the same time. Dotty and Steve found themselves firmly in last place again.

<>

“Yes, I scored again!” Dennis said. “That’s four.”

“And that’s five!” Denise shouted as her ball want in. They grabbed their clue and ran to the car.

<>

“This is it!” Sarah said. “Let’s go!”

Sarah and Jude exited their car and ran up the stairs of the temple. “Welcome to Palenque, Mexico,” said the greeter.

“Sarah and Jude. You are team number two!” Monarchk said.

“YES!” Sarah said, hugging Jude.

“We like second. Second’s good,” Jude said.

<>

“C’mon, Denise. We’re almost there,” Dennis said, climbing the stairs.

Finally, the twins jumped on the mat. “You really need to do something about those stairs, because I swear I am NEVER climbing something like that again.”

“Welcome to Palenque, Mexico.”

“Dennis and Denise. You are team number three!” said Monarchk.

“OH YEAH!” Dennis shouted, throwing his arms in the air. “Who rules? We rule!”

“Dennis, can we tone it down a little, please?” Denise asked.

<>

“Here it is! We found it!” said Ken.

“The last team that went through here must’ve left the door open,” said Cris, as she and Ken snuck into the room with the Jaguar throne. Cris snagged a clue, read it, and then tried to get out without attracting the attention of David and Kailee. However, it didn’t work, as they were spotted after David and Kailee were on the top of the pyramid.

David and Kailee suspicions that the throne was not on the pyramid were soon confirmed. They found the door, took a clue, and joined Ken and Cris on the race to the pit stop.

<>

“We made it,” said Daniel, as they jumped out of the car.

“So did Jasmine and Camille,” Abigail said. “We need to get the upper hand here and now.”

<>

“Do you even know where you are going?” Jason asked Cliff.

“I have a map,” Cliff answered. “I can clearly see that we need to turn right at this exit.” Cliff turned. “See. 90 miles to Chichen Itza. Everything is all right.” BOOM!

“That wasn’t good,” Jason said. He got out of the car and saw that one of their tires had blown out. “Great! Now what?”

“We can wave someone down and hope that they stop to help us,” Cliff said.

“Oh yeah, Cliff, you do that,” Jason said. “How did I get stuck with this guy?”

“Hey, here comes Alonzo and James!” Cliff said. “STOP!”

“Look, James,” said Alonzo. “Cliff and Jason are stuck on the side of the road.”

“Yes!” James exclaimed. “C’mon, let’s floor it!”

“James, we can’t do that! As much as I’d like to take advantage of the situation, we can’t go around making enemies,” Alonzo reasoned.

“Alonzo, this is the Amazing Race, not the Amazing Guy. C’mon!” James said.

“Do you really want to be yielded?” Alonzo asked.

“Fine!” James said. He stopped the car and went to help Cliff and Jason. “Hey, do you guys need help?”

“Yeah! Thanks for stopping,” Jason said. “Our tire popped. We need a new one.”

“I’ve had the same thing happen to me in Houston. Here’s what you do. Get to the nearest gas station and see if you can fix your tire. I really can’t do anything more than that. Bye,” James said, rushing back into the car.

“Okay, now we can floor it,” Alonzo said.

“They sure were helpful,” mumbled Jason. “See how stupid your idea was Cliff? Cliff?” Jason looked around and could see that Cliff was running down the road. “CLIFF! Where do you think you’re going?”

“I’m going to a gas station,” Cliff shouted back. “You can stay there if you want.”

“No way!” Jason said. “I need to make sure you don’t screw things up.”

<>

“We’re here!” Allison said as they parked in Chichen Itza. “Let’s find the temple and get this over with.”

Soon, they found it and opened the clue. “Pyramid or Sphere? We need to make up time so we HAVE to do the faster one. I think it’s Pyramid,” said Andrea.

“Okay, let’s do it,” Allison said, running up the Pyramid.

“WAIT!” Andrea shouted. “Where are you going?”

“I’m going to find the Jaguar throne,” Allison said.

“It never says on the clue that it’s on the Pyramid, all it says is that we must search the pyramid. It sounds to me like the throne may be inside it,” Andrea said. “Let’s run around this thing and see if there’s any sort of opening.”

“Okay,” Allison said, climbing down.

<>

Over at the ballcourt, Daniel and Abigail had just finished and Jasmine and Camille scored their fourth point. A few tried later, the girls also finished the Detour and were on their way.

<>

“We’re at Palenque!” Cris said.

“We’re not alone! David and Kailee are here too!” Ken said.

“It looks like it’ll be a footrace for fourth place,” David commented.

“I’m up for it,” Kailee said, running toward the temple.

The two teams ran as fast as they could up the stairs. They both seemed to arrive at the same time, but Monarchk knew better.

“Welcome to Palenque, Mexico,” said the greeter.

“Ken and Cris. You are team number four,” said Monarchk.

“WHAT!” said all four racers.

“David and Kailee. You are team number five,” said Monarchk.

“Wait, I don’t understand. How did those two beat us?” Kailee asked.

“I’d like to know that too,” Ken said.

“Kailee, you arrived first, but without David. David was still farther behind. Ken and Cris, however arrived just milliseconds before David did, giving them a rightful fourth place,” Monarchk explained.

“Sorry, Kailee,” David said.

“Ah, don’t worry about it,” Kailee said.

<>

“Yes, I knew there was an opening,” Andrea said. “After you.”

Allison walked in, grabbed the clue off the throne and exited. “We’re going to the pit stop! Let’s go!”

<>

“Here we are,” said Dotty. “We finally found our exit.”

“Hey, look Dotty,” Steve said. “There’s a team stuck on the other side of the road. Let’s pull over.”

They pulled over and Dotty got out to look around. She soon got back in the car, however. “No one’s there.”

“Strange,” Steve said. “We’ll we need to keep going.”

<>

“Hurry, Abigail!” Daniel shouted.

“I’m coming,” Abigail said, as she climbed the last step.

“Daniel and Abigail. You are team number six!”

“Yeah!” they both said, hugging each other.

Right after the siblings had checked in, Jasmine and Camille arrived. “We need to move, Jasmine,” Camille prodded.

Jasmine and Camille ran up the steps. However, halfway up, Jasmine tripped on one of the stone steps and landed hard on the rock. “Are you okay?” Camille asked, as she ran back down to help her friend.

“I’ll be okay, I just hurt a little bit,” Jasmine said as Camille picked her up.

“Oh no, you’re bleeding,” Camille said. “Can you walk?”

“I’ll try,” Jasmine said. She lifted her foot and took a step. “AHH! Ow ow ow! I think I may have twisted something when I tripped.”

“Well, I’ll just have to carry you to the finish then,” Camille said. She took her friend and lifted her up the final twenty-two steps.

“Jasmine and Camille. You are team number seven.” Monarchk said. “Jasmine, I saw your fall back there. Are you going to be okay?”

“I’ll be fine,” Jasmine said, crying.

“Why are you crying?” Monarchk asked. “Are you in too much pain?”

“No,” Jasmine said. “It’s just that I fell and Camille carried me twenty-two steps to the top. Each one of those steps represents a year of our friendship and I feel so secure knowing that I have found someone that will never let me fall and not get back up.”

<>

“Okay, Pyramid or Sphere?” asked James at the Detour.

“Let’s go with Pyramid. I know a lot about Mayan culture, so I think I know where the throne would be. Come on, we’re going around this thing,” Alonzo said.

<>

“So can you help us?” Cliff asked the gas station attendent.

“Okay, I’ll do it,” she said. She went into a back room and returned with a tire. “Take this. It should fit your model of vehicle. Also, here’s a jack and a wrench. Be sure to return it, but remember, I never gave it to you.”

“Thank you so much,” Cliff said. “Jason, we’re going.”

<>

“Allison and Andrea.”

“Yes?”

“You are team number eight.”

“We’re still here,” Allison said, giving Andrea a hug.

<>

“Aha! I knew it was in here,” Alonzo said. He took a clue and the two drove off to the pit stop.

<>

Working together, Cliff and Jason were able to fix their car and return the equipment. They were soon on their way to Chichen Itza. Unfortunately, Dotty and Steve were already there.

“What should we choose?” Steve asked.

“What about Sphere? It seems easier,” Dotty said.

“Okay, let’s do it,” Steve said. The grandparents soon rushed off to find the ballcourt.

<>

“Alonzo and James. You are team number nine.”

“Whoa,” James said.

“We’re not out yet!” Alonzo said.  “I firmly believe that we are a power team. We just got a setback at the beginning. Those other teams had better look out.”

<>

“I still don’t see it Steve,” Dotty said. “Do you think we’re close?”

“Maybe,” Steve said. “There should be a flag or something next to it.”

“Aha! I see the flag,” Dotty said. The two, although very worn out, ran to the flag.

Dotty and Steve walked onto the court and looked up at the goal. “That’s very high and very small,” Dotty said. “This is going to be hard.”

“Let’s give it a shot though,” Steve said. He grabbed a ball and fired. It bounced off.

<>

“Detour: Pyramid or Sphere?” Cliff said, reading the clue.

“Pyramid is faster,” Jason said. “Do we climb up the thing or do we do something else?”

“I’m thinking. I don’t think we climb it because they would’ve said so if they wanted us to do that. Let’s look around this thing before we go climb,” Cliff said.

<>

“Two points,” Steve sighed. “Three left.”

“This is really tricky,” Dotty said. “I don’t think I can make it in.”

“Just keep trying and you’ll get it,” Steve said. He took another shot and it went through the hoop. “Three points, two left.”

<>

“Look, a door,” Jason said. The two ran up to it and looked inside. “Whoa. This place looks cursed.”

“It’s a treasure room,” Cliff said. “The real treasure here, though, is the clue on the throne. Let’s go.”

“It’s the pitstop, Cliff! Let’s go!” Jason said.

<>

“Four points!” Steve said. “One left.”

Dotty tried to score again and finally made it. “We’re done!” she shouted. She took the clue from the supervisor and read it. “It’s the pitstop! We need to hurry!”

<>

Far off the distance, Monarchk can see a car being parked and a team getting out. They run up to the temple, and manage to climb up without any problems. “Cliff and Jason.”

“Yes?” the two say, fingers crossed.

“You are team number … TEN!” Monarchk said.

“YEAH!” the two shout.

“You are still in Monarchk’s Amazing Race.”

“Oh phew, that was close,” Jason said.

<>

At long last, a tired Dotty and Steve check in at the pit stop. They had run into minor car troubles on the way and were now certain they were in last place. “Dotty and Steve.”

“We know,” Dotty said.

“You are the last team to arrive. I’m sorry to tell you that you’ve both been eliminated from the race.”

Dotty sighed. “It’s okay. We thought we might be getting eliminated early, but not this early.”

“It was fun. We loved it. We’d do it again in a heartbeat,” Steve said.

Final Standings:
1. Pyotr and Erin
2. Sarah and Jude
3. Dennis and Denise
4. Ken and Cris
5. David and Kailee
6. Daniel and Abigail
7. Jasmine and Camille

9. Alonzo and James
10. Cliff and Jason
11. Dotty and Steve –ELIMINATED

Next time on MAR:
One team fails to catch a boat, resulting in them being put hours behind the other teams. Can they make up the time?

Jasmine’s injury continues to affect her team. Can they still stay in it?

One person has a one-on-one encounter with death at a Roadblock.

Two new features, the Men at Work and the U-Turn, will be revealed in upcoming episodes. What do they do? How will it affect the game? All of this soon!
