THE AMAZING RACE ALL STARS: THE MOLE EDITION

For my newest game, I've decided to do something completely different than anyother game I have done before. This game is not a race. In fact, the only part of it based off the Amazing Race is the members. This game is based off the former reality show The Mole. It was on in the United States from 2001 until 2004 and is know off the air. Some people in the United States might have seen it before. If you haven't, its a show where a certain amount of members work together trying to gain as much money as they can. However, one of the members is the predetermined mole. Their job is to sabatoge the rest of the group's efforts. They do not reveal their secret until the end of the game. The two major parts of this game are the challenges and the quizzes. Here are the rules of the game from wikipedia:

Strategy:
While success in the challenges is important in order to build up potential winnings, it is also critical to stay in the game by scoring better than opponents on the quiz, usually by attempting to draw their suspicions of the mole's identity toward oneself. Since the mole must use subterfuge to misdirect attention from his/her attempts to derail the team, disingenuous attempts to emulate the mole must be subtle, while still noticeable and suspicious. Players sometimes sabotage themselves so much that the mole rarely has to tilt the table.

Challenges:
Like other reality shows, The Mole featured challenges in which the players received money that was added to a group pot only one would win. But unlike the other challenges in other reality shows, The Mole's challenges offered ways to disrupt the game, and ways of hiding it. Here are some examples of The Mole challenges over the series.

Quizzes and Eliminations:
The quiz is the primary device of eliminating contestants across all series. Traditionally between ten and twenty questions, the quiz asks the players to identify the Mole and several amounts of information regarding the Mole, including their activity in challenges and profile. The player scoring least is eliminated from the game. The American version saw a format change from twenty questions to ten questions from Season 2 on, usually with all questions available to the public. Season 5 of the Australian series used short five question quizzes to accommodate for live eliminations.

In most editions of The Mole, however, players are usually given the chance at "exemptions" or "free passes." Should a player earn an exemption, he or she is not required to take the quiz and thus safe from elimination. Traditionally, an exemption must be earned by preventing the team from winning their challenges. Season 2 of The Mole in the US saw the most prevalent use of exemptions, with nearly one every episode, and two on occasion.

A standard elimination checks each of the players' statuses on whether they are continuing to the following episode. In most formats, a computer shows a green screen to signify they are continuing or a red screen to show they have earned the lowest score. Poland used red and green feathers. Many editions had special eliminations. A player, for example, may be given a second chance in the game, should they redeem themselves in a challenge. In one edition, the remaining players had a chance to stop the elimination, if they surrendered their prize money up to that point. There have been several editions where either no players or multiple players were eliminated.

The Amazing Race Tie-In is coming up.

I need 10 members for this game. Each member needs to choose one TAR All Star Racer to be in the game. You will be taking complete control of the person throughout the game. Before the game starts, you need to go through the list of player information below and fill it out. You must PM it to me. You may not post it on this thread, as these attributes are a vital part of the game. For the items that you are able to find, please make sure they are real (Use TAR official website, player profiles, etc). For the other ones, like favorite drink, hobbys, etc - you will need to make them up, but try to base them off the players real actions in the race.

This information will be a factor into who I decide the mole will be. I will PM that person, telling them they are the mole. If they tell anyone (in this game, not in this game) and others find out, the game is being cancelled at that time. This game will only work if two people know who the mole is (that person and me).

8 More - if more than ten people want to join - i will add a couple more spaces (but no more than 16)

Also, I would like if there can be a similar amount of males and female TAR racers in this game. It will work better. Thanks.

7 More Spots or more if needed Wink

This game won't take as long as my other ones. Just letting the people who have signed up that this is not a race (if you didn't read the introduction) and is completly different than any other game I have ever done. But it should be just as fun Grin

Here is a summary of the show, The Mole, which this game will be based off (for people who have never seen the show):

At first glance, ABC's weekly, hour-long The Mole wasn't all that different from the many other reality shows of the era (the series debuted January 9, 2001). A group of ten diverse individuals were whisked off to various exotic locales in the U.S. and Europe, where they competed in physical and mental challenges, ranging from bungee jumping to trivia quizzes. On each episode, one of the contestants was eliminated (or, as it was defined on this series, "executed") until only one was left to collect a grand prize of up to one million dollars. The main difference here was that one of the contestants was a "mole," planted by the producers to undermine and sabotage the other players, escaping detection and exposure all the while. At the end of each episode, the remaining players took a quiz on what they thought were the "facts" about the mole, whose identity remained unknown throughout the competition; those who scored lowest were removed from the show. Three players remained on the last episode of each season, and by the rules of logic one of these had to be the mole. The "legitimate" player who correctly guessed the mole's identity won the grand prize -- which, if the mole had done his or her job well in the past episodes, had been considerably reduced from the original one million dollars via bribes and other financial giveaways.

you don't need to find all of it, you cant even find all of it - most of it is attributes which you give the racer - all you need to find is the basic info - such as name, age, hometown, stuff like that - the other stuff is for you to play with

You are supposed to make up the stuff which is not available for you to find (you can find personal information of the racers on the cbs official site for that specific season). However, whatever you make up - try to keep it consistent with the racers actions in their first race and in the all star race.
