Huawei’s exclusive bid for China Telecom’s ROADM (reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer) network project in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This is the first domestic backbone wavelength division intelligent ROADM network, marking the optical network to optical networking and intelligent. The beginning of the era's evolution is also an important step in the transmission field of China Telecom's CTNet2025 network transformation strategy.
 
The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is the region with the fastest economic development in China, and it is also the most advanced region in the development of the Internet industry. With the rise of cloud computing and big data, and the popularization of new services such as smart terminals, smart homes and the Internet of Things, the demand for data storage and analysis has exploded.
 
China Telecom is the first to build a ROADM network in this region, which will greatly enhance the safety, reliability, network intelligence and smart operation capabilities of the optical transmission network, and provide better broadband experience for Internet companies, e-commerce, government and enterprise customers, etc. .
