Hello. I'd like my website (mobianlegends.com, temporarily down) removed from your reviews of "worstoftheweb.com", as I did not authorize this. It was the work of an idiot prankster that for some reason wants to annoy me. If I have to get a DMCA Takedown Notice, I shall.

Your website has a far worse design than mine, has absolutely no way of contacting the developers of the website (so it appears that the people running worstoftheweb.com are nothing more than hecklers afraid of being confronted), and your "knowledge" is mostly biased info on what other people say in shoutboxes and guestbooks, and of no practical use. I'd like to see worstoftheweb.com's maintaners do better with website design.

I don't think having a link to your website on their page constitutes "copyright infringement." They've not used any of your work on their site, they just provide commentary and a link to your website - seems to me that falls under free speech...

Also, just curious - do you have permission from Sega to have Sonic images on your website?

It looks like we've done all we can here. Perhaps it's not as bad as you think it is. Since this incident, have you noticed an increase in the hits you've gotten to your site? Sometimes bad publicity is better than no publicity. At least it gets your site promoted and I think the individuals that are perusing your site will be the judge of it's contents.

You might want to check on that - because I'm almost certain fanfiction sites do not fall under "fair use."

I did check that out. they're covered under fair use and parody in copyright law. even if that were not the case, sega has publically stated they don't plan on going after fan websites in law suits. Would they go after GamePro and IGN for using pictures of Sonic in their video game reviews, as well? I doubt that.

you *could* do more... like remove my website from your listings, you just choose not to. If you don't like feedback or backlash from other websites, why insult them and heckle them on your website? I was always told "if you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen!"

just out of curiosity-- what is the big deal if it's being promoted on another website? If people like your website they will go to it- they aren't going to stop going to it because its on "worstoftheweb"... and if people see on there and never heard of it and decide not to look- then you didn't lose any "business" since you never had those people anyways....
